Expert Says Lack of Mentors are 73% of the Cause of New Business Failure Rancho Cucamonga, CA –July 30, 2007—The SBA states that over 544,000 firms close each year, due to business failure. While more people are starting their own business each year, fewer people report having a direct interaction with a mentor. “A mentor can be the difference between a business thriving and one that tanks.” says Dr. Letitia Wright, author of the new book, The Power of Mentorship for the Woman Entrepreneur. “It’s important to couple your knowledge of running your business with the real life experience and contacts that a mentor can provide.” Many times women do not get mentors because they confuse a mentor with a role model.
